Bishkek hosts the 26th meeting of the EAG

Bishkek, May 25 / Kabar /. Bishkek hosts the 26th Plenary Session of the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism (EAG), a regional group of the FATF type.

The EAG includes 9 states: Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It also includes 15 observer states and 19 international and regional organizations.

A number of important issues are planned to be discussed at the plenary session. In particular, mutual assessments and legal issues, typologies and counteraction to the financing of terrorism and crime, technical assistance, the exchange of experience in identifying foreign terrorist fighters.

As a result of the meeting, a number of documents are planned to be signed.
