Tropical Storm Kirk to rake across Lesser Antilles

Tropical Storm Kirk to rake across Lesser Antilles
WEBVTT JASON: LET’S TURN TO OUR FORECAST. IT IS WARM AND WARMER THAN IT SHOU BE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. AMY: IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS WHENEVER ONE UP NORTH IS IN THE 30’S -- MICHELLE: WE WILL BE THE BEST. AMY: WE WILL BE SO HAPPY. IT IS HOT. IT WAS HOT YESTERDA SANFORD TIED THE RECORD HIG. 95 DEGREES IS WHERE WE WERE IN SANFORD. THE LAST TIME IN 95 WAS A 1997. THE AVERAGE IS ONLY 88. ALL OF CENTRAL FLORIDA, ONLY -- EVEN THOUGH WE DID NOT TIE RECORDS YESTERDAY, WE ARE STILL WELL ABOVE AVERAGE. OCALA, 94. THE AVERAGE IS 88. EVEN AT THE COAST, WE WERE STILL SEVERAL DEGREES WARMER THAN AVERAGE. WE’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE QUITE THIS HOT, BUT WE’RE GOING TO DO IT AGAIN TODAY. WE ARE BACK IN THE LOW TO MID 90’S BECAUSE WE HAVE A LOT OF SUN AND WE DON’T HAVE A LOT OF RAIN. A LITTLE BIT OF DRIER AIR IS LIMITING THE RAIN AND STORM COVERAGE. BECAUSE OF THAT, LOTS OF TIME FOR THOSE CHAPTERS TO CLIMB. RIGHT NOW, ANYWHERE FROM THE LOWER 70’S TO THE NORTH TO THE UPPER 70’S FARTHER SOUTH. 78 IN LEESBURG. 73 IN PALM COAST. WE HAS SOME SHOWERS AND STORMS EARLY THIS MORNING ALONG THE GULF COAST. THOSE ARE GONE. ALL IS QUIET. WE WILL GET TO SUNRISE IN ABOUT AN HOUR. JUST A FEW SCATTERED CLOUDS. AN AIR OF LOW PRESSURE -- AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OFF TO THE EAST IS HIGHER IN THE ATMOSPHERE. DISTRACTING SOME OF THAT ORANGE COLOR, THE DRIER AIR, INTO THE AREA. WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE A LOT OF MOISTURE, YOU DON’T HAVE A LOT OF HUGE TROPICAL DOWNPOU. SO THAT IS MISSING AND THAT IS WHAT WE ONLY HAVE A COUPLE OF SHOWERS EXPECTED TODAY. BY NOON, A FEW CLOUDS AND THAT’S IT. 3:00, A FEW SHOWERS, THAT’S IT. 5:00, THERE IS STILL HARDLY ANY RAIN EXPECTED. WE WILL SEE A BETTER CHANCE FOR RAIN AFTER 5:00, BETWEEN 6:00 TO 9:00 P.M. EVEN THEN, LOOK HOW WE ARE SO LIMITED. A COUPLE OF SPOTS WILL GET RAIN, EVEN SOME STORMS, MAINLY RIGHT UP-AND-DOWN THE MIDDLE PART OF THE STATE. NOT MUCH OF THE EAST COAST OR THE WEST COAST. 75, IF YOU LIVE A LONG I-75 YOU MIGHT GET A FEW SHOWERS LATE INTO THE NIGHT. OTHERWISE, TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL BE WARM. WE ARE GOING BACK TO 93 AND 94 IN MOST OF THE INLAND AREAS. THE COAS WILL STAY A LITTLE COOLER JUST BECAUSE WE WILL HAVE THAT SOUTHEAST BREEZE COMING IN OFF THE OCEAN. SEVEN-DAY FORECAST, EVEN DRIER TOMORROW AND INTO THE WEEKEND. A FEW MORE SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL BUILD BACK IN ONCE WE GET INTO NEXT WEEK. LET’S GET A TRAFFIC U
