GRANVILLE, W.Va. – The West Virginia Black Bears host media to show off what’s new at the ballpark. Improvements include a new batters eye that allows better tracking of the ball from the batter’s perspective, along with sad news from their famous pepperoni roll, Double Stuffed Dave.

“It’s been four years for Dave, of him having zero wins at Monongalia County ballpark. It’s been hard for him, it’s been hard for the entire pepperoni roll community to see him not be able to go out there and perform on the field. So, after meeting with his team, meeting with the organization, meeting with his fellow pepperoni rolls, he decided it was finally time for him to hang it up and call it a career,” said Joey White, WV Black Bear Media Assistant.

The Black Bears also announced additional firework events along with new game times for weekday games. The staff will also add new promotional theme nights for their littlest fans including ‘Fortnite’ on July 31st and Paw Patrol on August 13th.
